1989年、ハイスクールに通う17歳のマイク・オドネルは、バスケ部のスター選手として活躍していた。
有名大学のスカウトが見守る試合で、いつものプレイさえすれば、華々しい未来が待っているはずだった。
ところが、恋人のスカーレットが妊娠したと知ったマイクは、すべてを捨てて、彼女と人生を共にすることを決意する。
20年後、マイクの栄光の日々は、完全に過去のものになっていた。
スカーレットとの結婚は破綻し、会社では出世コースから外され、思春期の娘と息子からは、負け犬呼ばわり。
マイクは家を出て、ハイスクール時代からの親友の家に転がり込む。
そんなマイクがある日、不思議な現象に巻き込まれ、突然17歳の肉体に戻ってしまう。
これで人生をやり直せると張り切るマイクは、かつて通ったハイスクールに転入するのだが、37歳の中身が、あちこちで思わぬ邪魔をする。

果たして彼は、人生で一番輝いていた頃の自分を、取り戻すことができるのか──?

学生カップルの問題、夫婦の問題、切ないね。ザック・エフロンは鍛えてるしイケメンだけど無邪気でヘマするときもあって、笑えるシーンもできて、でも信念があって、時に目上の人を唸らせる役をよく見る気がする。でも飽きないのはやっぱ上手だからだと思う。他に似た俳優がいないのはいいことだと思う。その他大勢に埋もれてない。

中身37歳のまま17歳に戻って上手に立ち回って人生をやり直すのかと思ってたけど、
主人公が中身17歳のまま37歳になった様なキャラクターなので、
期待していた人生経験を活かした頭脳プレイみたいな展開もほぼ無く、思ってる感じでは無かったです。

いじめっ子は主人公と大した敵対関係にならず悪役としてのキャラが弱いし、
子供は父親が消えた事について不思議と触れないので、親子の関係性の掘り下げ要素は無いし、
精神年齢17歳の37歳が実際に17歳に戻って、ダラダラと日常生活を送る中で奥さんに惚れ直すだけ。
もっとメリハリの効いたカタルシスを味わえるかと思ってたけど、いまいちスッキリさせてもらえない。

駄作とまでは言いませんが、手放しで面白いとも言えない。もうひとつふたつ足りない凡作止まりの惜しい作品。
やたら高評価が多いですが、Amazonで過大評価されてる作品のひとつだと個人的には思います。

バックトゥザフューチャーみたく、あの頃に戻って今までの人生やりなおし系かと思って見始めていましたが、途中から段々感情移入が凄くなってしまって二回見ました。
ハイスクールミュージカルのザックエフロンがまたバスケやってるわーと思いつつも、良い作品だったなと最終的には感無量でした。

アメリカの高校のカオス感が好きです。
成長期のど真ん中にいるティーンエイジャーがそれぞれ独自の自己主張をし、
また強い者が弱い者を支配しているという独特な雰囲気の中で、
「Welcome to the bottom of the food chain.」というセリフがまた絶望感を抱かせます。

「二十歳よもう一度」系の元祖は「素晴らしき哉、人生！」（リメイク版含む）だろう。本作品も離婚裁判の現実と家族愛をうまく絡ませてほのぼのとした味わいを楽しませてくれる。

I've watched this film a few times now and it still has me laughing out loud just as much as the first time I saw it. Trust me when I say that it's hilarious from start finish.

It's the story of Mike and Scarlett, high school sweethearts who have to deal with teenage pregnancy and who marry early in life. Mike gives up a scholarship to college playing basketball to provide for his new family. Skip 20 years into the future and we find the couple going through a divorce, although Mike doesn't want it. Matthew Perry plays the older Mike and you really feel for his character.

One day he finds himself wandering the halls of his old school and talking to a mysterious janitor, wishing he could have his life over again so he could do things differently. A fall from a bridge later and he finds himself '17 again'. With the help from his nerdy friend Ned, (expertly played as always by Thomas Lennon), he decides to go back to high school and change his life for the better. Ned enrols the now named 'Mark' at school and acts as his father. Ned needs to have a film of his own because he's so funny. There's a sideline story of Ned's attempts to woo the principal which are to die for.

Anyway, the story progresses as you expect it to, Mike finding out a few home thruths about himself and his now teenage kids, but the fact that it's predictable doesn't detract from the fact that it's a real hoot. If you enjoyed 'Big' you'll love this. It's even funnier and it's a geeks dream come true spotting all the memorabilia that Ned's collected.

Do yourselves a favour and just buy it, you won't regret it! I'm not a huge fan of Zac Efron but he was brilliant in this role.

Einfach witzig umgesetzte Geschichte.
Wie oft habe ich mir schon gewünscht etwas im Leben noch einmal zu erleben bzw. wenn ich jetzt nochmal 16 Jahre alt wäre mit dem Wissen von jetzt mit 45 Jahren…keine Ahnung wie alt Der Typ in dem Film ist kommt nicht wirklich raus, aber Er hilft zb. seinem Sohn der es offensichtlich in dem Leben vorher mit seinem Vater nicht besonders leicht hatte, naja diese Szene hat mir besonders gefallen…wie dem auch seih sehr Einfallsreiche Story macht viel Spaß…lassen Sie sich überraschen

I had watched this film numerous times on television and enjoyed it so much i just had to buy a copy. It's not just a film for teens , adults can enjoy it to. Under 12's might need guidance for some scenes. Of all the age switch films i've watched this has to be my favourite. It starts of in 1989 where Mike O'Donnell ( Zac Efron) chooses his girlfriend ( who is pregnant) over a promising career in Basketball. Forward to 20 years later where he is getting a divorce from his wife . The older Mike O'Donnell is played by (Matthew Perry) . He is dissatisfied with how his life has turned out and on a visit to his old school, which his 2 children now attend, he meets a janitor who gives him his wish to go back and do it all again (Will he make the same choices or not?) It's fun to watch as he returns to being 17 Again, gets to go back to school and become ' friends' with his own children. His friend from his school days Ned (played by Thomas Lennon) pretends to be his father, he is so funny in the part and the side story of his pursuit of The principle of the school is a hoot to watch! I won't say how the film turns out, buy the dvd and watch and enjoy! Best £3.75 I ever spent!
